Ian Alpert, CPA
Ian is known to his colleagues, friends and clients as a friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable professional. He is a New York Certified Public Accountant practicing on Long Island and serving clients around the country. In addition to being a CPA, he has 20 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur. This combination gives Ian the unique perspective of being on both sides of the profession. He helps small and mid-sized business owners and executives by providing insights that help them take their businesses to the next level.
Service is not limited to a once a year call with your tax bill; Ian engages with his clients throughout the year. The firm operates with an underlying directive. Its mission is to provide timely information to clients, keep them compliant, and minimize tax time anxiety.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting with Distinction from Hofstra University. He is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a member of the New York Society of CPAs and the National Society of Tax Professionals. Ian gives his time to Boy Scouts of America Troop 214 (Hauppauge/Smithtown) as an adult leader and merit badge counselor for entrepreneurship. He also serves on finance and technology committees at Temple Beth David in Commack.
